Scott Jones, the grandson of William Garlick, sent these photos of William's display at The Australian Armour & Artillery Museum in Cairns, which includes William's slouch hat and a photo of him in his Army attire.
As the exhibit describes, William survived the Burma Railway, the sinking of the Tamahoko Maru by a US submarine, and ended the war in Japan. Another remarkable story of survival, which encapsulates the spirit of Sparrow Force.
